November 2008: Roger Wadsworth and his European collaborators, including Féthi Bédoui, are organising their now famous course in electrochemical detection of NO in cardiovascular tissue (click here to access the course's poster).
November 2007 : Ulf Simonsen, Roger Wadsworth and Michael Mulvany are organising a course in electrochemical detection of NO in cardiovascular tissue.
September 2007 : Two PhD students working on NO won a prestigious L'Oréal and UNESCO grant entitled 'Women and Science'. They are Angélique Besson (under the supervision of David Wendehenne: role of NO and cadmium toxicity in plants) and Marjolaine Vareille (under the supervision of Alain Gobert: role of NO during enterohemorragic Escherichia coli infections).
May 2007 : Dr A. Gobert's lab has demonstrated for the first time regulation by NO of the production of a bacterial toxin (click here for a copy of the abstract).
18/04/07 : INSERM/CNRS press release. A newcomer in the treatment of mood disorders : nitric oxide (click here to access the press release).
March 2007 : A new book entitled “Radicals for life: The various forms of nitric oxide” has just appeared at Elsevier (Edited by E van Faasen & A. Vanin). The purpose of the book is to review the current status of knowledge about endogenous compounds that show NO-like activity, such as S-nitrosothiols, nitrite, organic nitrates or certain nitrosyl-iron complexes (click here to access the Editor's site).
06/12/06 - Féthi Bedioui has offered to test the new WPI electrochemical workstation Apollo 1000. ClubNOFrance will buy 2 different types of electrodes: ISO-NOP030 or ISO-NOP007 and the nanoelectrode ISO-NOPNM. They will be calibrated using a number of NO donors. If you are interested, Féthi is offering to test the electrodes in your experimental conditions. Please fill in the request form and send back to him at fethi-bedioui@enscp.fr. If you wish to test another WPI electrode please let Féthi know (however, we will not cover the extra costs).
10/10/06 - Cardiovascular Research announce a spotlight Issue on new roles of NO in cardiovascular signaling which will be published in July 2007.- All papers need to be submitted before December 2006
